On March 14, 2019, Christina H. Koch joined the crew at the International Space Station (ISS). She was launched on Soyuz MS-12 alongside Aleksey Ovchinin and Nick Hague. Koch surprised the surfing world after publishing a series of tweets in which she hailed the ocean conditions as seen from the sky.
